Who We Are
SIRDS (Social Integrated Rural Development Society) is a registered NGO in Tirupati, India with the primary mission of benefiting the underprivileged.
SIRDS USA is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in USA with the primary purpose of supporting the efforts of SIRDS India.
Mission Statement
To create and facilitate for better living standards to neglected, disadvantaged and stigmatized segments of the population through Education, Skill training, Scholarships and Capacity building irrespective of gender, age and caste and contribute to sustainable development.
Key Programs
1) Aksharayagnam Study Centers: We run over 50 study centers in and around Tirupati in the slums. These study centers are low resource high impact centers. Teachers help local students have a safe place to study and get help with homework. These centers are additionally centers of social support where we identify children that need nutritional support, or single parents that need seed funding for micro businesses, or scholarships for those excelling but lack resources.

2) Annual Student Scholarships: We support around 130 students annually. Students are identified based on a rigorous process to ensure that we are supporting students that demonstrate need and are showing academic performance.
Cost per student:
Primary: INR 15,000 or USD 185
Secondary: INR 20,000 or USD 245
High School and College: INR 35000 or USD 425
3) Student Scholarship Endowment: A one time fee that will go into an endowment fund and will be used to help support students across their academic career
Primary: INR 1,00,000 or USD 1220
Secondary: INR 2,00,000 or USD 2440
High School and College: INR 3,00,000 or USD 3660
